Seasoning Tub - BEEFSTEAK - Cape Treasures
Made for Beef: Steak, burgers or roast beef - it is generously garlicky, fragranced with white, green and black pepper and a surprise accent of juniper. Mustards add a lingering, sweet warmth to the paprika and bell pepper base.
Paint the steak with olive oil, sprinkle a little seasoning - rest for 10 minutes, grill and just before removing from grill, sprinkle with another light layer of seasoning.
Beefsteak Seasoning is also great on tomatoes.
For vegetarian friends: dredge some mini roma tomatoes (multi-colured ones are great fun!), red-onion petals and strips of red and yellow and orange bell peppers in olive oil, sprinkle with Beefsteak Seasoning - roast until skins start to split, serve with a pesto made of sundried tomatoes, olive oil, (half a clove of raw garlic if this is not a 'first-date' meal!) parmesan cheese and some pine-nuts - season with Beefsteak Seasoning. Serve on hot gnocchi or pappardelle pasta.

Every year, Turqle Trading in South Africa pays 2,5% of its turnover to the Fair Trade Trust. This means (amongst other things) that every year, more than 200 children benefit from a contribution to their school fees. Isn’t that nice to know?
